Useless Information

I recently saw an HDR tutorial from someone who is actually is doing it well.  His techniques and subtlety inspired me.  So while I was out with my daughters today I decided to try making an HDR from a single RAW file.  I also added a split tone formula that I created on top of it all.  The combination of “L’s” expression, the HDR and the split tone made a pretty freaky image.  I didn’t realize it was going to turn out this way at all.  This is not one we’ll be placing on the mantle. I didn’t get the “Harry Potter Effect”, instead I got the “George Romero Effect”.

Fortunately, this other one came out much better. I at least don’t have the feeling that my 4 year old is going to eat my brain (based on the picture).
